Editing Levels
The benefit to working with me is that I alone work with my clients. I don’t use contractors, and I don’t use AI. Real editors proof better! Editing costs vary by type of project, and I typically work with project-based pricing in order to keep your cost down, but here’s an example of pricing for smaller documents:
You’ve Got This: For use when you don’t need more than a quick proofread by a professional. Starting at $60/hour.
Scholarly Edit: For use with any document (academic) that requires editing with a style guide review or formatting. Starting at $70/hour.
A Little More: For when you need a little help expressing yourself. This encompasses all prior editing levels and provides assistance with rewrites and a critique. Starting at $80/hour.
Each project is assessed individually, and then a quote is provided for the work. This is an estimation of the hourly fee incurred.
Accepting payments both electronically and by mail. There is a 5% PayPal handling fee per transaction. No fee for Venmo.
